The Pennsylvania State University

School of Visual Arts

Facilities

Imagination, creative production and critical thinking take shape in SoVA’s graduate and undergraduate studios, classrooms and exhibition venues.

SoVA’s innovative programs are housed in five campus buildings in the heart of the arts district on Penn States’ University Park campus.  Our facilities, located in the Visual Arts, Borland, Theatre, Arts Cottage, and Patterson Buildings, feature state of the art digital media labs, digital photo labs, darkrooms, ceramics, printmaking, painting and sculpture studios,  and a large wood/metal shop.  The comprehensive facilities offer students a wide variety of instructional space, tools, and equipment within each of the school's programs.

SoVA is adjacent to Penn State's Palmer Museum of Art and in close proximity to the Pattee-Paterno University Library, which has an excellent arts library and extensive resources for study and research.
