Paul Chidester

Biography

Paul Chidester received his B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing at the University of Colorado, Boulder and M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

His work has been shown at the Chicago Cultural Center; the Painting Center, New York; the Royal Hibernian Academy of Art, Dublin; John Post Lee Gallery, New York; Zolla Lieberman Gallery, Chicago; The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Wilmington; The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland; The Juniata Museum of Art and Zg Gallery, Chicago.

Reviews of his works have appeared in ARTFORUM, The Chicago Tribune, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Crain’s Business News, and WBEZ, Chicago Public Radio.

He has received a Heinrich Boll Foundation Award; a Ballinglen Foundation Award; Institute for the Arts and Humanities Award, University Park, PA; a CAAP Grant from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs; and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation award.
