Area of Study:
Chelsea Borgman is a Masters student in the Art Education program. She intends to focus her research on communal art making as a method to empower preteen girls and teach feminist theory. Borgman received her B.A. at Kenyon College in Studio Art. Since graduating in 2012, Borgman served as gallery director of C-LINK Gallery at Brazee Street Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her role as gallery director at Brazee, Borgman taught kiln-formed glass techniques to children ages 3-18. Borgman is a contributing writer for the online arts journal Aeqai, where she focuses on reviewing pieces of performance art. Her personal art making ranges from glass to large scale installation - creating room sized interactive spaces from found or foraged materials.
