Robin Gibson

Biography

Robin Gibson is an artist working in multiple print media and works on paper. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an MFA in Printmaking and holds a BFA in Printmaking and a BA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire-Durham. Prior to joining the faculty at Penn State, Robin held faculty appointments at California State University, Long Beach, and Montgomery College in Rockville, MD.

Gibson's work has been exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions including the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, PA; Northville Art House, MI; Cannon Gallery, OR, and Washington Printmakers Gallery, MD. Recent group exhibitions include: Biennial-Printmaking Reimagined, MA; All About Paper, MT; Printmaking Now, RI; Landscapes: From Metropolis to Arcadia, LI, NY; and The Boston Printmakers 2013 Biennial, MA. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; Achenbach Foundation, Museum of Fine Arts, San Francisco; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Brooklyn Museum, New York and the New York Public Library, among other public and corporate collections.

Recent projects and residencies include Big Ink at Pickwick Independent Press, Portland, Maine, and a 2-week residency at Zea Mays Printmaking, Florence, MA.
