Valerie Dillon is drawn to the bold, unapologetic, graphic nature of a well executed relief print and is influenced by Japanese Ukiyo-e, German Expressionism, and Pop Art printmaking. She attempts to find a balance in craftsmanship and approachability to create an inclusive art viewing experience. Her use of familiar images create an opportunity for both a personal and universal connection to the work, which is a catalyst for shared memories and experiences. Valerie Dillon is a Colorado native. She received her BFA from Metropolitan State University of Denver (CO), in art education and printmaking. She currently resides in Hershey, PA
