ART 330 Cross Campus Sculpture Display

Penn State's School of Visual Arts Metal Fabrication & Mixed Media class (ART 330) proudly presents Signed, Steeled, Delivered: an exhibition of outdoor artworks installed in various locations on the University Park Campus. Fourteen artists will be featured in the exhibition: Kriss Barr, Emi Driscoll, Chee Earn Khor, Alexa Kim, Robbie Horton, Kaylie Maines, Adelaine Muth, Katie Pack, Danielle Spewak, Andrew Storck, Victoria Tayman, Haven Tucker, Jocelyn Vitale, and Yiwei Wang.

The artists have worked to augment, intervene with, or respond to public outdoor spaces throughout the campus, centered around the Visual Arts area. Steel as a material is strong, unwieldy, and perseverant; what then causes it to flow, to bend, or to become ethereal in nature? The makers involved in this exhibition have worked intimately with the material, and have culminated their semester?s work in pieces that both embody and defy the nature of metal. In addition to crafting public displays of metalwork, they have also forged new meaning and captured fourteen unique forms to enhance the visual quality of the campus.

Please join us on Tuesday, April 17th†at 5:30pm for a reception and refreshments in the Visual Arts Building courtyard, behind Au Bon Pain. The work will be on display from April 16th†to April 24th. The artists invite you to photograph the work and post it to social media using the hashtag #signedsteeleddelivered2018.
