M.O. Tech Composition #1

The interdependence between drawing and sculpture has enabled me to develop a hybrid system of interactive and interchangeable parts and connectors that are inspired by the engineering connotations associated with erector sets.  In the piece, M.O. TECH, components and precision-machined connectors were designed to be modular units to allow for multiple configurations as differing lines in space.  M.O. TECH also operates as a drawing and can ultimately be stored flat.  Parallel to my drawings, these three-dimensional construction elements are like templates that collapse the boundaries between form, space and perception.
